About Nachos
Invented by Ignacio Nacho Anaya for American military wives in Piedras Negras. Made with whatever was in the kitchen: tortillas, cheese, and jalapenos. The original had no ground beef, sour cream, or guacamole. Ballpark nachos were created in 1976 at Arlington Stadium. A billion dollar snack industry was born from leftovers.
