Polands most beloved food. Filled with potato, cheese, meat, sauerkraut, or fruit. Boiled then pan-fried in butter with onions. Polish immigrants brought them to America in the early 1900s. Pittsburgh claims to consume 11 times the national average. There is a pierogi race at every Pittsburgh Pirates game.
