About Bunny Chow

A curry served inside a hollowed-out loaf of bread, from Durban. Invented during apartheid when Indian workers needed portable lunches, or by a restaurant named Bunnys. The bread absorbs the gravy as you eat. The correct way is to eat it with your hands, tearing the walls of the loaf as you descend. Half or quarter loaves for different appetites. Durban has the largest Indian population outside India.
