About Tiramisu
Invented at Le Beccherie restaurant in Treviso. The name means pick me up or pull me up in Italian. Uses raw eggs, espresso, and cocoa. Not a traditional old recipe, a modern invention. The original used no alcohol, later versions add Marsala or rum. Americas favorite Italian dessert wasnt even Italian until recently.
